Being the only person in my family that skied, I was obsessed with the snow, and patiently awaited for the first school ski club trip of each year. Family vacations consisted of camping in western NY, and visiting relatives in the mountain of West Virginia. Cheerleading was my team sport of choice for 7 years, and pretty much hated any other team sport that existed.

      After finished nursing school, Matty entertained my idea of always wanting to live by the beach and lots of sun. So, we moved to Florida. It wasn’t until then that I realized my great love for the great outdoors, and off-road sports, and now long to be near the mountains again. Florida is where I started mountain biking (go figure), and where the lack of terrain, prompted us to travel to the western states to explore.

      One day, I goat a hair-brained idea that I wanted a Jeep so that I could put the top down, and cruise to the beach. Well, Matty HATED Jeeps at the time, and swore that he would never drive it…EVER. That lasted about 3 days. A new bumper, and several modifications later….and now we fight for it! He actually tells people “It’s her Jeep”, while he’s driving it everywhere.

      Then came the club, the events, the trail rides, and all the great people we met. The more involved we became with the club and events, the bigger my…I mean OUR Jeep became. I then realized that not only do I enjoy being off-road, but wanted to become a part of the industry.

      Finally putting my creative abilities to work, my love for being outdoors, the national parks, and off-road sports, has inspired me to created designs for people who share my passion in the same activities. I love to travel out west, go skiing, snowboarding, hiking, 4-whelling, mountain biking, and exploring the great outdoors. My photos are my souvenirs.

     With Matty as my best friend and partner in life….Zion National Park as my heaven…Utah as my goal…and Switchback Designs is the expression of my off-road adventures.
